About Us

All-Steel Fabricating, Inc. was founded in 1969 by Jim Magill, Sr. in Grafton, MA as a two-person welding business. As All-Steel’s reputation for integrity, quality and customer service grew over the next four decades, the company expanded to add employees and equipment at its original location.

In the 1990’s, Jim’s sons Kevin Magill and Jim Magill Jr. joined the business. All-Steel continued to grow its quality employee workforce, add modern equipment, and increase the size of the facility.

In the 2000’s, All-Steel completed a major expansion, adding a high-definition plasma cutting machine and increasing the facility to a modern 30,000 SF fabrication shop.

In 2016, All-Steel acquired New England Eagle Machine, a 10,000 SF full-service machine shop in Westminster, MA.

In 2022 All-Steel added All-Steel Stress Blast and Coating to its Grafton, MA location. All-Steel Stress Blast and Coating is a dynamic thermal stress relieving, shot blasting and painting (coating) operation.

Today, All-Steel continues as a locally-owned and operated second generation family business. All-Steel and its subsidiary companies provide customers with conveniently located (within minutes of the Mass Turnpike and US routes 9, 20 and 495) “one-stop” metal fabrication, machining and finish processing.

Jim Magill, Sr.

Founder

Jim Magill was the Founder of All-Steel Fabricating, serving as President 1969-2021. All-Steel started as a two man sheet metal, plate and structural fabrication shop operations in North Grafton, Massachusetts. When Jim founded the organization in 1969, his focus was on producing quality weldments that were the bases/framework for industrial machines. These bases are the foundations for machines used in everyday life: Plastic Extrusions (bottles, containers, etc.) Leather/Plastic/Textile Stamping, Medical Devices- the list goes on. Through his 50+ years of leadership, he leveraged this solid foundation to build a thriving organization with capacity to support a full suite of fabrication/machining/metal finishing services across a variety of industries. This includes numerous large-scale weldments for power plants shipped across the United States and internationally. His character and reputation allowed him to close many major deals on a handshake.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Worcester State College. He and his wife Angela were married for over 50 years, until his passing in 2022. They raised two sons and two daughters, and delighted in spending time with his five grandchildren.
